Join us for the Challenge Mile

The 5th Annual Brooks Rehabilitation Challenge Mile will take place on Saturday, April 5, 2025, in Daytona Beach, Florida. This one-mile challenge aims to enable, honor and empower individuals living with disabilities. People of all ages and abilities are invited to participate, with the option to walk, jog, push or run the mile. Families, friends, coworkers, caregivers and others are all welcome to join in the fun and support the cause.

The start and finish line will be located at Halifax Health France Tower Portico (303 N Clyde Morris Blvd., Daytona Beach, FL 32114).

Volunteer Registration

Volunteer Tasks

Volunteers are needed to assist with several tasks including:

  • Setting up tents and tables
  • Organizing registration items
  • Distributing water along the walk route
  • Distributing t-shirts and boxed lunches
  • Walking Buddies: Walk the course with participants and monitor participants for need of assistance
  • Cheer Tunnel: Cheer on participants along the route and at the finish line
  • Assist with clean up after the walk.

Volunteers under 16 years old require a parent or guardian to volunteer alongside them.

Itinerary

  • 7:30 AM – Volunteer Check-In
  • 8:00 AM – Participant Check-In
  • 9:00 AM – Opening Ceremony and Challenge Mile begins
  • Finisher Celebration upon completion
  • Clean-up after all participants have finished
